Watch your body respond in real-time, on screen! Or switch to the Grapher Mode and track your reactions as they rise and fall in synch with your state of mind.
WildDivine Biofeedback comes with an interactive journal to record your progress. WildDivine Relaxing Rhythms provides real time biofeedback in the following ways:
SCL Measurement: Skin Conductance Level (SCL) is measured in uMho and measures sweat gland activity, which changes every nanosecond. In this case it is measured through your finger tips. Increased perspiration indicates increased autonomic nervous system activation, which is associated with increased energy - both positive, like excitement, and negative, like nervousness. With SCL there is no target number you are trying to reach, you will find your SCL fluxuates from day to day depending on your current state of mind, the dryness of the climate, and other factors. What is important is the change that you see within a specific session.
SCL Meter. The round dial on your screen is an indicator of which direction your SCL is moving. Movement to the right (clockwise) indicates an increase in SCL - excitement, stress - and movement to left (counter-clockwise) indicates a decrease in SCL - relaxation.
HRV Measurement: Heart rate variability (HRV) is measured in beats-per-minute (bpm) and is calculated from the differences in hear rate from one heartbeat to another. No two intervals are exactly the same, and greater variability between beats is one of the most important indicators oh physical health. Target HRV goal is 5-20bpm.
HRV Butterfly: HRV is most directly affected by your breathing. Healing Rhythms allows you to either listen to one of the programs mentors while you track you data, or to simply breathe with the wings of the butterfly for a five-second inhalation and five-second exhalation.
Average Heart Coherence: Your average heart coherence number is another way to track your HRV response. It is represented on a scale of 0.00 to 1.00, where 0 is no coherence and is perfect coherence. It's based on the variance between each heart beat and taken approximately once each second.
Coherence Meters: You can also track your results using the Coherence Meters on your screen. These meters provide visual cues to the current sate of your heart's coherence. You can view this in two ways. the first is through the colored buttons that light up as your effectiveness increases over time - yellow is least effective, green means you are entering or exiting coherence and blue means you've got it! The second, is a color coded graph that used the same color code to track your coherence over time (see Times Sessions below).
Heart Rate: Provides your actual heart rate in beats per minute (bpm)
Timed Sessions: At the top of the grapher you can choose a duration - either 6, 11, 21 or 31 minutes - to view your rhythms. Six minutes is the default duration. to change the duration, click on the "Stop Session" button and then choose the time duration you want.
Visual Settings: You also have two choices in how you view your body's rhythms on the Grapher screen. You can remain on the ion Grapher page as is, or you an view it through the Kaleidoscope.
To change visual setting within the iom Grapher screen, you can toggle back and forth between the Grapher and the Kaleidoscope by clicking the corresponding buttons on the top of the frame.
The Kaleidoscope screen will show you an artistic , rather than a scientific, version of your body's rhythms. As you watch a fantastic spiral pattern emerge and grow, play with your breath and thoughts and see how it affects his reflection of your rhythms. Can you make it bigger? Smaller? Can you change its color?
