Visualization and Guided Imagery for achieving
Health, Wellness, Success, Stress Managmenet and Your Dreams

Visualization and Imagery Can Help You Achieve Wellness and Regain Health

Visualization and imagery combine to increase wellness, a positive attitude and a productive life style.

Visualization is often described as seeing with the mind's eye.  Imagery encompasses all of the senses.  We imagine scents, tastes, texture, appearances, sound and motions.

It is possible to use visualization to imagine yourself at various stages of healing.  Including a return to homeostasis - a natural balance of mind, body and spirit.

In order to use visualization and imagery effectively you must know what a healthy cell, organ, bone, lung, breast or any other part of organ of the body looks like.  Ask your physician for pictures of healthy muscles and organs.  You will not benefit from looking at disease.

You can begin by relaxing with a mind machine, as you use the machine picture a peaceful scene, when you sense that you are relaxed and tranquil visualize your immune system working effectively to rid your body of unhealthy cells.

You can picture yourself placing the cells into a trash can and closing the lid or perhaps letting the cells drift out beyond space and time until you no longer "see" them in your minds eye.

Imagery and visualization is being used in hospitals and by physicians to prepare patients for surgery and for the recovery process.

The more clearly and detailed visualization is the more effective it is.  Pay attention to the most minute details.  Clearly picture every facet of a healthy cell or body part in your mind.  Notice texture, color and temperature.  The more accurate the visualization the more effective it will be.

Using inner resources like strength, competence and spiritual beliefs, allows an individual to empower themselves and feel and be more in control of a situation.

Individuals who passive rely on a treatment do not recovery as fast or as fully as those who actively participate in the recovery through visualization and imagery.

Active participation in recovery also reduces the need for pain medication.  Hypnosis is a form of guided imagery/visualization.  The use of the elimination system and decreasing blood loss are vital to recovery.  The body must rid itself of toxins and bring in healing oxygen to renew and restore cells.  Think of the oil circulating in your car's engine.  The oil keep the engine running smoothly because it reduces friction.  Picture the blood flowing through your arteries being in healing oxygen and cells necessary for recover as you inhale.  As you exhale picture the toxins being carried through your veins and leaving the body through the exhaled breath and elimination system.

You can begin to practice visualization by sending warmth to cold feet and hands.  Notice that as you concentrate on sending blood to the extremities they begin to tingle and feel warm.  You can use the same techniques to help restore all parts of your body.

Visualization and imagery are safe and effective.  They are not meant to replace medical diagnosis and treatment.  They aid in the effectiveness of medical treatment.

Maximum benefit may be achieved by combining a mind machine and biofeedback device.
