Hypnosis is an art and a science. Some people take a weekend course and believe they are thoroughly trained to provide hypnosis sessions. This is incorrect. A qualified hypnotherapist should have a formal college education and experience in working with a variety of people.
My credentials: masters of science degree in clinical hypnotherapy; certified clinical hypnotherapist; nationally certified forensic counselor. Every two years, I obtain 40 hours of continuing education to enhance, diversify and increase my professional skills and knowledge. Experience: Over 30 years of experience in individual, family and group counseling with adults, adolescents, the elderly and forensics populations. Including counseling of individuals with serious and or terminal illnesses and their families. As a counselor and administrator I provided community education to various populations on a variety of topics. Privacy: As mandated by state law. Outstanding Achievements: Development of a crisis intervention program that became a national standard. After graduating with honors I was an adjunct professor of clinical hypnotherapy. Personal Interest: Studying and teaching Shorin Ryu karate, self-defense for women and kidnap prevention to children. I developed and implements a martial arts show for the benefit of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Only authentic Hemi Sync Metamusic for background is used during a hypnosis session.
