Begin a Dream Diary Tell yourself several times during the day that you intend to remember your dream(s). Just before you go to sleep, tell yourself "I will remember my dreams when I wake up in the morning". A dream diary or log is essential to understanding the meanings of your dreams.
Write the date in your dream diary every night then. Leave the book, a pen and a flashlight, or place a lamp next to your bed.
